Joongi and Coral often talk about math and related stuff.
Is counting to ten enough?
Joongi says, “Let me show you some things I’ve found.”
“Math is fun. It is all around.”
Joongi shows Coral his ten hats.
Joongi counts them carefully with his cat.
They count together to a hundred by tens.
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100!
Joongi and Coral practice counting again and again.
They count the leaves on the tree. Coral counts the flowers and the bees.
Joongi counts by 2s with his shoes.
2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.
3, 6, 9, 12, and 15. Both count by threes with fleas.
Joongi and Coral count by fours with marshmallow s’mores.
4, 8, 12, 16, 20. Yum!
5, 10, 15, 20, and 25. Coral counts by fives with the bees in the hive.
Both count by sixes as each picks up sticks. 6, 12, 18, 24, and 30.
7, 14, 21, 28, 35, and 42.
Counting rocks by seven with a friend is like heaven.
Joongi counts by eights with small weights. 8, 16, 24, 32, and 40.
9, 18, 27, 36, 48, and 56. Coral counts by nines with ribbon and twine.
They counted already to a hundred by tens but decided to do it again.
With each 10, they gave a hop and reached 100 before they stopped.
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100!
Jooni shows Coral that four quarters equals a dollar.
Joongi and Coral are bright math scholars.
Joongi knows a dollar equals ten dimes.
He carefully counts his money in a short time.
One hundred pennies equals 20 nickels.
Joongi spends one dollar to buy Coral a pickle.
Math playtime is over, and our time is done.
Counting with Joongi and Coral is so much fun.
Let’s meet up tomorrow to count the flamingos.
There are no flamingos here, young friends!
